Prayer & Fasting Week

Sunday, Jan 4 – Sunday, Jan 11

As we begin a new year, we want to start together in the presence of the Lord—seeking His face, aligning our hearts, and setting the rhythm of the year through prayer and fasting.

Prayer and fasting isn’t about striving or religious obligation; it’s about creating intentional space for God to speak, move, and lead. This week is an invitation to slow down, listen, and lean into what God wants to do in and through our church family.

Fasting

During this week, we invite you to fast in whatever way you feel the Lord is leading you. Fasting looks different for everyone, and there’s no “one-size-fits-all” approach. The heart is obedience, humility, and expectancy.

Here are a few ideas if you’re unsure where to start:
  • Food fast – skipping one or more meals a day
  • Daniel fast – fruits, vegetables, and whole foods
  • Partial fast – fasting from specific foods (sweets, caffeine, soda, etc.)
  • Media fast – stepping away from social media, TV, or streaming
  • Technology fast – limiting phone usage outside of work and essentials

Along with Prayer Week, we’ll also be launching our monthly three-day fast, beginning Sunday, February 1, and breaking the fast together on Wednesday, February 4—yes, we’re calling it “Break Your Fast at Wendy’s” as a fun and communal way to celebrate together.

Prayer Room

Throughout the week, we’ll host a Prayer Room at the church in the Worship Center—a come-and-go environment where you can spend time with the Lord individually or alongside others.

Prayer Room Schedule
  • Monday–Thursday: 7:00–9:00 PM
  • Friday & Saturday: 6:00–8:00 PM

Each night will begin with a short devotional and Scripture reading led by a team member, followed by prayer music and open prayer time. There are no specific nightly themes—just intentional space to be with the Lord together.

Whether you come for five minutes or the full evening, our prayer is that this week sets the tone for the year ahead as we seek God first—together.
